Colin from Accounts season 2: Release date, cast and latest news
When is the Australian comedy's second season set to air in the UK?
Australian comedy series Colin from Accounts proved to be one of the biggest breakout shows of 2023, amassing a huge and dedicated fanbase with its warm-hearted story and laugh-out-loud funny dialogue.
The show was written by husband and wife Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer, who also star in the series as Ashley and Gordon, two single people living in Australia who are brought together by an injured dog, who they call Colin.
The final episode of season 1 saw Ashley and Gordon giving Colin away, but later coming to regret their decision and heading off to get him back from his new owners – a task we'll see play out in the first episode of the upcoming second season.
Speaking with Radio Times magazine about the second season, Brammall and Dyer explained what it's like working together while also being married.
Dyer said: "It does get intense! Sometimes you realise that this is more time spent with someone than is the design. But it's also lovely because we are each other's favourite person and each other's champion, and we have a very similar sense of humour. So, if it’s going to be anyone, thank God it’s him!"
Meanwhile, Brammall added: "It really helps that we like each other or it would be a real bummer."
But when will the second season air in the UK, and when can fans pick back up with Ashley, Gordon and Colin? Read on for everything you need to know about Colin from Accounts season 2.
Will there be a season 2 of Colin from Accounts?
Yes! Colin from Accounts was renewed for season 2 back in August 2023.
"We're thrilled that [network] BINGE is finally giving in and letting us do another one," said Brammall and Dyer (via Deadline). "Turns out the Border Terrier community is extremely powerful. Thank you to everybody around the world who has enjoyed the show, we can’t wait to bring you all a second season. Stay tuned for more shenanigans."
Alison Hurbert-Burns, commissioner and BINGE executive director, added: "BINGE is thrilled to confirm a second season of the award-winning Colin from Accounts. We left season one unsure if Ashley and Gordon could get Colin back, so of course we need to see what's next for these lovable characters that audiences in Australia and the world have fallen in love with."
